Pheasants Nest Farm

This interesting project involved the renovation of a semi-derelict farm house, and its" outbuildings. The original wainey battens were carefully retained, in order to preserve the traditional look of the roof from the inside of the open plan living areas. The roof was then built up on the outside, with a system of rigid insulation and counter battening (devised by ACSAP), before the original reclaimed tiles were blended with make-up tiles and laid to produce the finish apparent in the photographs.

The aviary and other outbuildings were structurally braced, new purlins installed and the roof clad with Kingspan composite roof sheets.
